Pets are welcome
Are you worried about leaving your faithful companion behind whilst you enjoy your break?
Wainlete welcomes you and your pet, and at no extra charge! We accept most pets except cats, so please discuss with us. We provide facilities specifically for your pet and provide information to help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Facilities and Services provided as standard for dogs:
- A water bowl and food bowl for the sole use of each pet accommodated
- A protective feeding mat is provided for the kitchen
- Torch available for late night walks
- Access to refrigeration facilities
- Toys, Bedding, towels, spare leads
- Throws for the sofa overnight, we know how they like to sneak up when mum and dad are in bed!
- A scoop and disposal bags are provided. Outside bin for dog waste.
- Pre buying of food for pets service available (we leave the receipt in the cottage for you to reimburse us). Please state brand on booking form if required
- There is an outside tap and hose for after those particularly muddy walks, and towels
- Storage space provided for animal transportation crate/ cage
- Following each departure, all areas used by pets are cleaned thoroughly to remove any evidence of them (including odours)
You are of course welcome to bring your own dog bed and equipment, if you prefer.

- Stair gate provided for puppies or on request
- Fully enclosed gated garden
Information Provision
The following information is available in the cottage:
- Details of local vet, local pet shop and local pet food suppliers
- Selection of local walks suitable for pet walking by owners of all ages, including a couple of half hour walks for when you first arrive!
- Tourist information where pets are accepted, e.g. attractions, pubs, restaurants, recreation- note dogs are allowed in all pubs/ restaurants in the village apart from the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel. You can even dine with your dog in the Wyndham Arms bar and the Ostrich!
- Details of local events.
- Nearest Tourist Information Centre with directions and contact telephone number
Service dogs have full access to cottage, for all others, please stay downstairs only.
