We had such a magical visit to Wainlete for a few days stay just before Christmas. The cottage was so well equipped, warm & cosy (log fire, comfy bed, great shower, etc) and wonderful walks from the door. Just right for a romantic retreat! Great value for money and beautiful location. We have already passed on the info. to friends - a return visit for sure!
Thanks Jayne x

Jayne, thank you so much for going out of your way to help us so we could enjoy the end our 'Mini-Moon'
Hopefully we will be back next year!

Our third time staying here, we love the place. Jayne does a great job of providing pretty much everything you need. We'd like to reassure other people without dogs that there's no doggy odour. The village has good places to eat and drink and the locals are so friendly. And of course the walking country is fabulous too, so many places to choose from and lots of different environments to keep things interesting. Looking forward to visit number 4!

Excellent, cosy cottage; brilliant value to boot. Made to feel right at home and the village is one of the quaintest in the area.
An added bonus was the fact that the property was so welcoming to dogs... even huskies!
Many thanks. A wonderful few days in a beautiful part of the country. We will be back.

Thanks for a comfortable, well equipped cottage. We had a wonderful week, glorious weather and a peaceful retreat at the end of each day. The dogs had a great time too, with their 'welcome' biscuits, bowls and blankets.
Thanks too for the wine and milk - what else do you need to settle in straight away! We hope to come back (and locate the donkey!)

Jayne, I don't honestly think you could have done more to make our holiday anymore comfortable. The cottage is so well appointed. We had a very relaxing holiday plenty of walking and fine weather too. Fantastic. Bracken loved it too. Thank you.

Oh, and we recommend the Ostrich Pub in Newland - about 1mile from the cottage. Great food!

A wonderfully welcoming cottage equipped with pretty much everything you could think of! Felt like a home away from home and we loved the special little touches like milk and wine ;o) Great location, helpful ideas on what to do and perfect self catering facilities.
Can't complain about anything - thanks Jayne, A+

This is just a note to say thanks again for arranging our stay at Wainlete especially accomodating our late arrival. The cottage was perfect and we loved the location. You have clearly put a lot of thought into everything you provided which really adds to the sense of welcome. The O/S map was a great touch. We ate in every night and had cooked breakfasts and found the kitchen really easy to use and well equipped. The only suggestions we would make is to include an apron in the kitchen and some simple instructions for the microwave. We both had a go with it and managed to get it to do something but without quite knowing how! Kate is not a 'doggy' person and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of any evidence of dogs being regularly present. We stay in self catering places in Spain and Italy where it often feels like we have just moved into someone's (well organised) home; Wainlete felt like that.
Thanks again and best wishes
David and Kate
